Fiberglass Insulation
Protection from the Environment and for the Environment

Radiant heat from the sun comes in contact with the roofing material of buildings and travels through that material by conduction—a solid substance transfer. It heats the air in voids between walls, in attics and crawl spaces, and often causes people to overuse their air conditioning in the summer months. By insulating with fiberglass, you effectively slow the process of convection, because it is a less conductive medium.

Conversely, in the colder seasons, a good layer of insulation prevents the loss of heat through the roof or walls by convection and conduction. Having a good layer of fiberglass insulation in the attic or crawl space can significantly reduce your heating bill, since heat rises.

Fit the Product to the Need

Another great feature of fiberglass insulation is its portable utility. Because it comes in two forms, as mentioned above, you can tailor the amount of insulation to your space needs. Loose fill fiberglass is often an ideal insulation option for the difficult to reach spaces between walls and in tight crawl spaces. On the other hand, precut batting can often be perfect for unfinished attic spaces fitting between the beams and struts.

Fiberglass insulation wont degrade from exposure to air. It does not absorb moisture and is also fire-resistant, making it an ideal choice of insulation. Because it can be manufactured in a variety of densities, it also meets a wide range of R values for building codes. It is a versatile and ecologically sound choice for many insulation needs.
